Mr. Corwin received a B.A. summa cum laude and phi beta kappa from the University of Minnesota in 1969 and a J.D. cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1972. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Minnesota Bar Association, and Hennepin County Bar Association. He was a member of the Governing Council of the State Bar Labor and Employment Law Section and served as Treasurer and Secretary. He is now on the Planning Committee for the EEO Committee of the ABA Labor and Employment Law Section.
Mr. Corwin has been in private practice since 1972. He is a charter member of the AFL-CIO Lawyers Coordinating Committee.
Mr. Corwin has been named in every edition of The Best Lawyers in America, 1989-present and Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers, in every year from 1993-present in the area of Labor/Employment Law.
Mr. Corwin has also been selected as a Leading Minnesota Attorney in the areas of Employment Law Individual, Labor Law and ADR - employment. Mr. Corwin is also an approved mediator/arbitrator on the Minnesota Supreme Court Neutral-ADR Roster and serves as an arbitrator for the Hennepin County District Court Arbitration Program. He is a panel member of Creative Dispute Resolution which is a non-profit corporation formed jointly by the Minnesota Trial Lawyers Association and the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association to provide the bench and bar with the highest quality arbitration and mediation services. He has extensive experience in mediating and arbitrating disputes in both the private and public sectors. Mr. Corwin is also an American Arbitration Association arbitrator specializing in employment and commercial disputes.
